Where I Found You

Written By: Andrew Thomas

Broken down and running through a place I never thought I knew
But as I open up my eyes I start to realize
Wind cold upon my face
The past is little more than a blurry gray, but ahead your light shines

This is where I found you, and you changed me
I can still see those eyes and feel how they burn me
And the question that you asked me: "Do you want to be free?"

I'm so broken
No way to fix myself, I'm so ridiculous
Could it be that there is no use for me?
Suddenly you come crashing through my body like a case of a superflu and I, I'm intoxicated by your grace

This is where I found you, and you saved me
I can still see those eyes
Feel how they burned me
And the question that you asked me: "Do you want to be free?"

Free, free, free

This is where I found you, and you saved me
I can still see those eyes
Feel how they burned me
And the question that you asked me:
"Do you want to be free?"

Sometimes We Fall

Written By: Andrew Thomas

When I was a boy I knew an old man
He wore an old coat and a beat up hat
He was always sitting on his front porch
He’d never say a thing when I walked by
But every time I’d pass his eyes would meet mine
That’s just how it was
Then one day as I passed on
I tripped and fell on the sidewalk and cut my knee pretty bad

Then that old man came to my side
He helped me up and asked me inside
He said, “Come on son; let’s clean up that knee”
Then he said:

Refrain:
“Sometimes we fall but you gotta get up
Life just goes that way
When you’re on the ground nothing looks good
But boy you’ve gotta have faith
‘Cause life goes on”

He took me inside and cleaned my knee
Then we sat down and he told me about his life
He used to turn to the bottle when things got tough
Old Jack at the bar would have to cut him off night after night
One morning he woke up and didn’t know where
But there was this old lady just sitting there staring at him

And she said, “Son, don’t throw it all away
Oh no, there’s a better way
Come on get up, and then let go
Let this grace overcome your soul”
Then she said:

Refrain

After that day he wasn’t the same
He listened to her words and his life changed by that grace
As I listened to him speak it touched me in my heart and I could feel
That I too had changed
Well I’m not a boy anymore, but every time I’m down on the floor
I remember her words to him

And how they changed his life
Those words changed my life, yeah

She said, “Son, don’t throw it all away
Oh no, there’s a better way
Come on get up, and then let go
Let this grace overcome your soul”
Then she said:

Refrain

Burden

Written By: Andrew Thomas

Feels like the weight of the world is on my shoulders
I’m leaving my heart on the floor
It all feels wrong inside, no matter what I try
Never mind, it hurts too much anymore

As the darkness swallows me
I’m falling down into a dream
Can you take this pain away from me?
I’m drowning in this memory

Feels like the weight of the world is on my shoulders
I’m leaving my heart on the floor
It all feels wrong inside, no matter what I try
Never mind, it hurts too much anymore

As the darkness comes for me
I find myself upon knees
I hear you ask, “Can’t you see?
Just turn your eyes to the tree
Just turn your eyes to the tree”
