Bio
Andrew Velez is a 22 year old country singer from Huntsville, AL, who currently resides in Nashville, TN. He began performing at the age of seven and has never stopped. Andrew has spent time on stage singing and playing guitar as well as acting. Andrew blends the multiple styles of music he listened to growing up in Alabama to create a unique blend that people of all ages and walks of life can enjoy.
His love for music began when he saw Elvis Presley on the television in his dads living room and was drawn to the performance he was putting on. He loved how he didnt just stand there and sing; Elvis was fun to watch. The next week, a family friend gave Andrew an acoustic guitar and Andrew didnt put it down. Besides Elvis, he is heavily influenced by the sounds of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and John Mayer.
He has spent the last two years playing and singing in cover bands all over the southeast, including the "Hillbilly Bastards" a premier touring band on the college circuit. In 2012 he was named the TCGMA Entertainer, Vocalist and Songwriter of the Year and he is looking forward to establishing himself as a solo, original artist.
