Bio

"A stumble is not a fall."

This could very well be the newly adopted credo of what has now become the Andrew Wade Band.

Formed in August of 2008 by Raymondville, Texas native Andrew Wade Swanberg, the band has a new look behind him that now includes three of the industry's most experienced session and touring musicians. Combining various influence and musical backgrounds, the members of AwB fit together perfectly and unequivocally.

Having begun a transition in late 2009, Swanberg met journeyman guitar player and fellow Rio Grande Valley native, Hector Rivera, and quickly forged a bond that was to be unbroken. Soon thereafter, Rivera's friend and bandmate from previous projects, Michael Bowen, was introduced as the bands permanent drummer. Rivera and Bowen's immeasurable experience in both musical composition and arrangement have provided a foundation for AwB previously unmatched. Bassist Brad Collett, who's previous experience includes performing in rockabilly bands in New England, was brought in as the final member in mid-2010.
After signing to Lucky Duck Records in early 2010, the band quickly began work on the debut album, entitled "String Lights." After many endless nights at Houston's Orange Ford Studio with veteran producer Shawn Camfield, tracking was completed in early August.

"We all come from very different upbringings and backgrounds, musically and personally," conveys Rivera. But, if you put us all together in one room, the chemistry we share musically and otherwise is remarkable. I think we all feel like we've known each other forever."

Affirms Swanberg, "This has been a long time coming, for all of us. This is a tough industry but we're hoping this is just the beginning."
