FROM HIGH ENERGY DANCE MUSIC TO UPLIFT YOUR SPIRIT, TO ETHNIC INFUSED SOUL/WORLD MUSIC, ANDROGENE- THE ALBUM IS SURE TO GET THOSE ENDORPHINES GOING AND KEEP YOU BREAKING A SWEAT ON THE DANCE FLOOR.

Biography

Born and raised in Northern Nigeria, Androgene, a shy and introverted child was already showing signs of bearing a special gift. She began singing at the age of 6 and by 11 had joined the local choir where she remained an active member for 6 years. At age 13, she had hosted a national teenage talk show and acted in several student movies. By the age of 17, Androgene had moved to London to further her education, obtaining her bachelor of arts degree in social policy and administration as well as starting her master of business management degree. She then moved to Los Angeles. Upon her arrival, Androgene succesfully completed the degree, and took on the role of manager at a Beverly Hills art gallery. These were not enough for Androgene though, as Hollywood had re-ignited her longtime dream and passion for entertainment. With a quiet confidence and a look so unique that it could stop a train, this multi-cultural singer/songwritter, actress and model is destined to make a huge and lasting impression in the entertainment industry.

Discography

Androgene-The album
Released 2004
The first single from the album, "SAVE THE DRAMA FOR YOUR MAMA" hit #2 on the CMJ charts in its very first week!! and is a sure party starter at all show dates. Concurrently, her world music song, "MERCY ME DUNIYA", a haunting remake of Marvin Gaye's Mercy me hit single, landed at the CMJ charts at number 1!!! which is no surprise when you listen to the mesmerising african(hausa language from Nigeria, West Africa) spoken word lyrics and decadent background harmonies, all performed by Androgene on this track in which she takes Marvin Gaye all the way back home to Africa!
