Andy Wolfe

Andy Wolfe is a modern day troubadour performing original songs in the folksinger tradition.   Accompanied by a harmonica, driving acoustic guitar, and  lyrics of poetic relevance,  Andy engages the audience and often has them hanging on every word.  At ease on stage, joking and telling stories,  his live show feels more vaudeville minstrel than serious singer/songwriter.  Not to say that his craft is taken lightly; Described in the Times Picayune as "a true wordsmith seamlessly weaving imagery with melody",  his songs span the gamut from political satire to topical to ballads to blues.

Andy Wolfe has earned every lyric penned and every song sung. Starting in New Orleans he hopped trains and wrote songs across the south for two years before making his way to Nashville where music production got into his blood.  Working as a staff engineer on music row exposed him to intimate sessions with Holly Williams, Gillian Welsh, Ryan Adams and Lucinda Williams.  Brief stints as an organic farmer, house carpenter and sea captain followed, laying the foundation for a lyrical perspective and musical well that few writers have the luxury of drawing from.

Andy is winning over listening rooms, coffeehouses and living rooms throughout the east coast.  He is currently touring in support of his first full length independent release, "The Sailor," and merchandise sales continue to climb- especially the limited edition vinyl pressing or the record. 

Playing music and entertaining audiences is the objective and Andy is working tirelessly to that end.  There are plans for a "solo folksinger" tour across Europe and the American midwest this Fall/winter, as well as numerous shows and festivals this spring/ summer from Connecticut to New Orleans.  The goal for 2016 is 100 concerts.
