Lucky Man

Verse One:

Looking back at my high school yearbook
Saw a picture of you and I
Do you remember those nights in the back of my flat bed truck,
Just the stars and us
Ten years later our high school reunion
And it crazy how life goes by
I gotta good job, and a dog named Hank
But enough about me
Let’s talk about you

Chorus

It’s been a while
Since I’ve seen your face
Let’s get together some time some place
For a while
You know I missed you
And the way you smile
Yah it’s been a while
Since way back then
There’s no telling what we could’ve been
There you are, here I am
Make me a lucky man

Verse Two:

A lot has changed since we last talked
Met a couple of girls but it didn’t work out
Couldn’t see myself with anybody but you
I knew you were the one

Chorus

It’s been a while
Since I’ve seen your face
Let’s get together some time some place
For a while
You know I missed you
And the way you smile
Yah it’s been a while
Since way back then
There’s no telling what we could’ve been
There you are, here I am
Make me a lucky man

Chorus

It’s been a while
Since I’ve seen your face
Let’s get together some time some place
For a while
You know I missed you
And the way you smile
Yah it’s been a while
Since way back then
There’s no telling what we could’ve been
There you are, here I am
Down the isle hand and hand
I’m a lucky man
