when i started teaching myself guitar in highschool i played mainly punk and blues, but after i studied music at belmont university in nashville, i became interested in a wide variety of music including classical, jazz, country, and rock-a-billy. my biggest songwriting influence is tom waits, but my biggest guitar playing influence has to be the reverend horton heat. my band "andy and the enablers" provides me with a musical outlet where i can combine my love of blues, country, punk, and rock-a-billy. with members who come to the table with a wide variety of musical influences and a high level of musicianship, what comes out is a unique and memorable rock and roll show
