ROBERT ORR, GUITAR – Robert Orr is one of the most highly acclaimed jazz guitarists in the Southeastern United States. In his nearly 40 years as a professional guitarist, Robert has been a Nashville studio musician, Director of Jazz Studies at Northern Michigan University, Professor of Guitar at Auburn University, performed alongside famed drummer, Jabo Starks with the Red Bar Jazz Band, and founded and led one of Alabama’s most enduring and successful rhythm and blues bands – Kidd Blue, based in Auburn. Last April, Robert toured the Blue Note Jazz Clubs in Japan with The Funkmasters, a group consisting mostly of James Brown’s former sidemen. Robert holds advanced degrees in music composition and guitar performance from the University of Alabama and Auburn University.

JOHN DAVID, DRUMS – John David is a professional jazz drummer based in the Miami area and recently performed and recorded with the Jaco Pastorious Big Band. John is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in jazz studies at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. At the University, he performs and records with the internationally renowned University of Miami Concert Jazz Band and the UM Jazz Sextet. This opportunity has allowed him to perform with numerous jazz greats including: Joe Lovano, James Moddy, Bobby Shew and the New York Voices.

TIM AUCOIN, BASS – Tim Aucoin is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is one of the most sought after jazz bassists in the Atlanta area and is featured on numerous jazz and commercial recordings. He has performed in the United States and abroad with Nneena Freelon, Pete Fountain, Luther Vandross, The Mamas and the Papas, and the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Tim received the Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans.

ANDY DAVID, TRUMPET & PIANO – Andy David is Director of Bands and Assistant Professor of Music at North Georgia College & State University. Andy served for 6 years with the United States Army Band, playing jazz piano and solo trumpet with the U.S. Army Jazz Guardians and the U.S. Army Europe’s Soldiers of Swing, based in Heidelberg, Germany. He has performed with Diane Schur, Bernadette Peters, The Moody Blues, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Orquesta Nova Sound, Marvin Hamlisch, Lew Soloff, and is the lead trumpeter and Hammond B-3 organist with Kidd Blue, one of Alabama’s top R&B acts. Andy received the Master of Music Education degree in Instrumental Conducting and the Certificate in Jazz Pedagogy from the Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida.
