Bio

Andy Lucas's first album 'Weekend Millionaire' was released in 2010 received rave critical reviews, and the single turbulence became a chart success and is still a radio favourite in Beirut, Lebanon. The follow up single 'Love Games' was also a radio success. Andy is now managed in the region.

His new album, to be released in 2014 is a great record, with a vintage, warm sound enhanced by recording in a reel to reel studio. The music is a unique blend of influences, each track having it's own sound and yet all tying together as an album sweetly. The album has been recorded at Green Door studios in Glasgow, and was done entirely analogue.

The band consists of Andy on piano and vocals, Brian on drums, and Charlotte on bass and backing vocals. Andys rich baritone and Charlottes sultry voice combine sweetly, enhancing the songs. In a live setting, they are a three piece, piano bass and drums. The level of musicianship means that the three piece sounds powerful and punchy, and can easily fill any size of venue. Their sound is different from other, primarily guitar fronted bands, and ranges from frantiacally energetic, to deliciously delicate and heartfelt.

He is influenced by Randy Newman, early Elton John, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Bob Dylan...and many other great songwriters. Andy is a lyrics man, loving the ability of words to convey stories and transport the listener to different places.
