I’m Andyman Hopkins. Singer. Songwriter. Guitar picker. Friend.

Some folks would call me a folk musician. I’d tell them, “thanks.”

I sing songs about trains, women, and food. It’s country-fried blues with lots of personality. Some of those songs are written by myself. Others are written by folks that I really admire. There’s plenty of audio and video of my music here at reverbnation to check out for FREE!!! I really hope you like it.

These days, I get my mail in Cincinnati, OH, USA. Most of my family lives nearby. We have really steep hills and some wonderful all-night chili diners here! I’ve also lived in South Bend, IN, and Columbus, OH, in the past. Good fortune has allowed me to travel and play music in most of the 50 states (including Alaska and Hawaii,) the Caribbean Islands, and all over Europe. I hope to continue seeing new horizons while making friends and doing great work along the way.

I’m not rich or famous. That’s not my goal. I’m a musician simply because I love music. This passion has been the driving force of my life for as long as I can remember. I’m an educated man with self motivation, a firm hand shake, and a thirst for adventure. I eat lots of peanut butter and wear the same pair of jeans almost every day. I travel around in an old beat up van, and it drinks up almost all the bread from my tip jar.

Most if my gigs are in bars, restaurants, and private parties. During the summer months, I like performing at festivals and weddings. I also play in schools and retirement homes on occasion! Every day at work is vastly different from the next. I’m still a young man, but I could tell you some great stories. Let me tell ya- I’m planning to write a very interesting book someday!

Original songs... Covers songs... It doesn’t matter to me. I’m not too hung up on who wrote the songs I sing. More importantly, I’m trying to share a memorable experience with the audience. Finding out what everyone wants to hear is a big part of that. At my shows, I always end up playing a broad mix of song material and filling a lot of requests! I hope you get to see and hear me perform for yourself sometime!

Your buddy,
