OK, now this is a surprise if ever there was one. ANOTHER NIGHT IN CHICAGO recalls the Cliff Richard of the late 1980´s and has a slightly rocky, country feel to it. Martin´s voice is smooth, sultry and sublime and fits in seamlessly with the kicking backing instrumental display from seasoned, skilled performers. Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, Martin skilfully takes that first track in a whole new direction and adds a hot chorus which shows off the beautiful intensity of his talent. Chicago thanks the maestro for his ode and reciprocates his affection; hoping against hope that the love interest will reflect on the situation at hand and just maybe - stay another night. ROADS TO CASABLANCA - coming so soon after ´Another Night In Chicago´ will lead you into thinking that you had wondered into a video store with incredibly good taste. But no, you´re actually in the presence of a musical genius. Martin´s voice slows down for this slightly rocking ballad with a twist. The vocals, once again, could charm the birds out of the trees and will undoubtedly hold the attention of the young at heart. It has been quite some time since I have heard anything as evocative or enchanting as this record. MIDNIGHT BLUE adds a Latin flavour to proceedings and one instantly begins to imagine lovers dancing in the moonlight as the reflection of the stars´ beauty in unison hits the waves. While he´s not quite there yet, Andy Martin´s vocals echo Sting´s prowess with a love song. ROCKIN´ ON THE AIRWAVES recalls the movies of 1960´s America and dare we say it, one senses that Elvis, wherever he ended up, may be looking upon this tune smiling his approval. ALL FIRED UP echoes the genius of Robert Palmer. Andy Martin makes it impossible to refuse to dance. As comfortable with Country as good old Rock N Roll, Andy Martin is a treasure and my recommendation is to get yourself a copy of this album and take yourself on the trip of a lifetime.

STARS will always be my favourite song, there´s something so poignant about it and this indefineable bitter sweet feeling is in all of Andy´s work. ANOTHER NIGHT IN CHICAGO is a great production and worthy of prominence. I love BLUE GUITAR - when you´ve actually seen the instrument it makes sense. WATERFRONT STREET is marvellous. GIVING IT ALL TO YOU and TAKE LOVE, GIVE LOVE have that Andy Martin quality, so professional and trustworthy. ROADS TO CASABLANCA is a great piece that makes you smile but the best track of all in my book is MIDNIGHT BLUE - it is fantastic and says it all. - Independent Review by Peter Sarstedt
