Andy Sneed

Andy Sneed

 Knoxville, Tennessee, USA

"As primarily a singer, songwriter and rhythm guitarist, I strive to craft songs that are lyrically and musically engaging. My songs tend to be guitar- and melody-driven, and listeners have compared my sound to that of Barenaked Ladies, Fountains of Wayne, and David Wilcox."

Andy Sneed has been writing and performing music for nearly 30 years. Since 2002, he has been based in Maryville, Tennessee. During that time, he has released two CDs and one EP of his original songs (all self-produced) and has played numerous shows, open mics, and songwriter events. Andy plays acoustic guitar and sings, and sometimes performs with an additional guitarist. In summer 2013, his song "Everything I Say" received an Honorable Mention in the Smoky Mountains Songwriters Festival, and he was also invited to perform the same song at the 2013 Richard Leigh Songwriters Festival in Abingdon, Virginia. Andy's influences range from Pete Townshend and Todd Rundgren to Bob Mould and REM.
