"Long Gone" - debut release - May 2011

Andy Vaughan & The Driveline is a band that sticks to the essence of what makes country music great. This is real country and genuine honky tonk- a timeless, classic sound that's firmly rooted in the past while continuing to look forward.

In the current landscape of mainstream country music, the lines between country, pop, and arena rock are often blurry. But listen to Andy Vaughan & The Driveline's debut album "Long Gone" and you'll hear the sounds of Bakersfield, Texas shuffles, hard driving outlaw honky tonk, and "tear in your beer" ballads. Don't take that to mean that this is some retro novelty band rehashing the same old thing with no originality. They borrow from the old, take what's relevant and bring their own sound to the stage, with songs that tell stories, paint pictures, convey emotions, and really make you feel. Whether singing about heartache, love, loss, or good times and bad, there is no doubt that this music comes straight from the heart. The original lyrics aim to grab you and the melody will stick with you, long after you've left the bar.

Andy Vaughan sings with an undeniable passion for the music and a great voice, often augmented by harmonies from the rest of the band. The Driveline is blessed with the smoking hot Telecaster twang of guitar-slinger and Austin, TX transplant Jerry Renshaw. The cryin', swingin' sounds of the Driveline wouldn't be country without a pedal steel guitar, and Tim Stanton is one of the best around. Any band worth its salt needs an unshakable rhythm section to build good songs, and the combo of Chip Farnsworth on drums and Erik Kutzler on bass guitar keeps everything nailed down tight.

Delivering the goods with the heart of a honky tonk juke joint and the true soul of country music, Andy Vaughan & The Driveline is the genuine article.
