Listening to her voice and her songs takes one back to the music we called country when Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline were on every radio station and Hank Williams was getting standing ovations at the Grand Ole Opry. Having been raised in a Pennsylvania farm town so small that a visit to the grocery store became a family trip, it was easy for her to relate to the songs of country music. By the age of eleven, Angela had her mind on one thing: Nashville. As soon as she finished college, Angela packed her bags and moved to Music City, USA, a far cry from the town she left behind. Now, in her early twenties, Angela has already accomplished many of the goals she had as a starry-eyed child, including performing with many of the Grand Ole Opry performers she grew up listening to. She has also performed in countless venues throughout Pennsylvania, Nashville, TN, and surrounding areas and has opened for acts like Bucky Covington, Mark Wills, Darryle Singletary and Darryl Worley. The first song Angela wrote and recorded in 2006, They Called Him Cash, written about Johnny Cash, was praised by none other than Cash's son and music producer/owner of Cash Productions, LLC, John Carter Cash, who praised the great voice and talent displayed in Angela’s song "about my folks." As a dedicated songwriter, a dynamic entertainer, and a powerhouse vocalist, this is only the beginning for Angela Dodson…
