Angela Hacker

Music is Angela Hacker’s passion. A native of LaGrange, Alabama, Hacker and her siblings grew up in a very musical family.

“Being surrounded by my family, who were all singers and musicians, my brother, sisters and I were born with the love for music,” Angela says.

Angela wrote her first song at age 10. At 13, she won her first school talent show.

“I was hooked,” she says.

Angela is currently a songwriter for Rick Hall Music. Her brother Zac – also her competitor during the fifth season of USA Network’s smash-hit talent search “Nashville Star” – is a songwriter with House of Fame Publishing. She has worked with the likes of Billy Lawson, James LeBlanc, Mercury Records artist Gary Nichols, James Slater, Kris Burgsnes and the late Ava Aldridge.

Angela’s style of country, R&B and rock’n’roll is strongly influenced by the Muscle Shoals Sound. Through the years, Angela worked hard to be better herself at her craft, playing everywhere she could. From talent contests to bars to weddings and funerals (really), Angela did it all. Over the past year, Angela has been writing and recording with some of her local idols such as Jimmy Nutt, who encouraged her to go to The House of Fame and get to work.

Angela’s most recent success is being 2007’s Nashville Star. Her success only continues to build as the world realizes her talent.
