Bio
Angela Hammontree is a PNW singer and songwriter noted for her big pipes, catchy hooks, and healthy doses of sly humor. As leader of the Angela Hammontree Band (AHB) from 2003 to 2010, Angela brought her original compositions to numerous venues, outdoor festivals, and radio stations (appearing on the popular Bob Rivers Show, among others). In 2011 Hammontree took a brief hiatus before beginning writing for her next album. In January of 2013, she released the EP "Bitter Vines" to overwhelmingly positive reviews. "Bitter Vines" features a varied lineup of talented musicans and producers and the driving rock Hammontree is known for, in addition to some new ventures into genres such as blues and folk. In early spring 2013, Hammontree reassembled a new AHB with an exciting fresh lineup, including Dave Farrell Guitars, and the veteran rhythm section prowess of Kevin Lynch (bass) and bay area transplant Josh Nowlis (drums). The band is once again bringing the live AHB experience to the masses, and continuing to open plenty of minds and ears along the way.
