Biography

Angela Smith & Co. is a local Kansas City band comprised of culturally diverse men and women who love God and love glorifying Him with the musical gifts He has given.  As a result, they’ve been blessed to minister in churches, a coffee club, art festivals, and TBN’s JCTV.  Their music is undefined, but is flavored by the sound of Gospel, Christian Contemporary, Rhythm & Praise, and Soul.  Ultimately, this group represents the body of Christ as detailed in I Corinthians 12—“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body.”

Lyrics

Mercy Remains

Written By: Angela Smith

Verse:
Do you ever get tired, of the promises I break
Do you ever get tired, of all the mistakes I make
Do you ever get tired, of the weak flesh that I am
Do you ever get tired, when I deny you time and time again

Do you ever wanna throw up your hands and say
I’m done with this girl, I’m done with this girl
Do you ever wanna say that’s the end
I’m done with you girl, I’m done with you girl

Do you ever get tired, of doing this all for us both
Do you ever get tired, when I don’t live up to my oath
Do you ever get tired, of all the strength that I lack
Do you ever get tired, of the sin I let hold me back

Do you ever wanna throw up your hands and say
I’m done with this girl, I’m done with this girl
Do you ever wanna say that’s the end
I’m done with you girl, I’m done with you girl

Chorus:
But you saved me, you raised me, you freed me from sin
You said I am free to start over again
You forgave me, you changed me, I’m set up now to win
Since you gave me the freedom to enter in

Your Grace that will never change
I may fall down, but you stay the same
I can rest in you because I know you’ll never get tired
And your Mercy remains

Verse:
Do you ever get tired, of seeing the same old thing
Because when I get inspired, your praises I tend to sing
But when I go through the fire, I forget what thus saith the Lord
And then I call you a liar, when I don’t trust you any more

Do you ever wanna throw up your hands and say
You’re wasting my time, you’re wasting my time
Do you ever wanna say that’s the end
You’re no longer mine, you’re no longer mine

Chorus:
But you saved me, you raised me, you freed me from sin
You said I am free to start over again
You forgave me, you changed me, I’m set up now to win
Since you gave me the freedom to enter in

Your Grace that will never change
I may fall down, but you stay the same
And you’ve got way more Mercy then I’ve got sin
So I stay amazed

That you loved me despite all my many mistakes
And you made me righteous through your grace
I can rest in you because you never get tired
And your Mercy remains
Your Mercy remains

Bridge:
So when I fall down you pick me up
And you said my child I got more than enough
Power to change and sustain you forever
You’re never too far to be lost all together

Cause when I weak, Lord you make me strong
And though weeping may endure all night long
Joy comes in the morning light
And I’m yours Lord so that gives me the right
To cry out Abba Father, you say daughter, don’t worry I got ya

Because you never, you never get tired
And your Mercy remains.
