Biography

Angelica Legacy is a songstress, songwriter, entrepreneur, and poet that speaks from the heart. Born to a Puerto Rican father and African-America mother; raised in Rochester, NY she has experienced and witnessed many atrocities of life. In spite of all of the trials and tribulations, she gives God the glory through her savior Jesus Christ. This is not your ordinary Gospel or R&B artist; this virtuous woman is a combination of both. The content of her music is pure and touches the soul. An encourager to the hopeless, a voice to the silent, and an ear to the cries of pain, she embodies these characteristics flawlessly within her music. "I will not sing any material that promotes acts that my beliefs are against; but I will sing about a broken heart, overcoming pain, love, all types of relationships [good and bad], friendships, and loving yourself" she states. Ms. Legacy understands that subject of her music walks a thing line between Gospel and R&B; she is willing to be edgy and walk that line proudly. Angelica Legacy explains why she chooses to do the music she does and not pure Gospel, "I want to reach souls that are not in the church, so that the church as a whole body can experience supernatural growth." She attended that same college that of Chrisette Michele, Jared Cotter from American Idol, Maroon 5, Wyclef Jean, Olivia of G-Unit, DJ Reg West, and Nina Sky. Angelica Legacy was also a back up singer for Melodie & Soulgasm, who has opened for Nina Sky at the Five Towns Hurricane Katrina benefit concert. In addition to being the owner of the independent publishing company Angelica Angelica Music Publishing (ASCAP), she is actively writing material for other artists. The sky is the limit for Angelica Legacy not only is a beautiful on the outside; but she is just as equally beautiful if not more within.
