Off stage, Angelica Di Castro smiles softly, speaks gently and bears no airs of pretension or prestige. But under the spotlight, the Canadian singer is transformed with a distinctive and powerful voice that demonstrates a deep connection with the words and melodies; as if she lived and crafted each song she conveys.

Angelica has reached a new milestones with the release of her first full length pop album a cross section of the singer’s skill with a wide range of styles. Beautiful Feeling can be broadly described as adult contemporary with a light rock edge and has already been compared to Celine Dion’s latest original releases. Angelica performs tracks by acclaimed songwriters David Foster (Celine Dion), Joel Feeney (Lee Ann Rimes) Dean Mctaggart (Amanda Marshall), Jud Friedman (Whitney Houston) and more.

From the album’s feel-good opener, Beautiful Feeling, to the moderate melancholy of the aptly-titled Better to Love, Angelica demonstrates a capacity to adapt to the temper and tone of a given song, injecting emotion, reserve and strength where necessary. Di Castro’s remarkable and characteristic lower register, reminiscent of Cher, is brought to full-effectiveness in Stevie Wonder’s “All in Love is Fair”.

Angelica began captivating audiences at festivals across Canada and the U.S. She found her first taste of success with an acclaimed single, “I Can See it in Your Eyes”, at 15 years of age. Her career gained a significant boost when the single received positive reviews in Billboard Magazine, The Chart and The Record. In 2002, she was presented with the incredible opportunity to sing for the late Pope John Paul II at the World Youth Day festivities in Toronto before a crowd of 200,000 and a television audience of millions worldwide.

After graduating with honours in classical voice from York University in 2003, Angelica was compelled to immerse herself in her Italian heritage, an impulse that drove her to release a collection of the most popular Italian songs ever recorded.

In the spring of 2004, Angelica was invited by C.I.M Canada (Confederation of Italians in the World) to represent Canada in Paris, France where she performed at "Un Nuit a Paris", the gala concert staged for all attending the international conference.

In 2005 Angelica released her 8 song EP, Bittersweet, an album that offered a taste of what was to come.

Angelica’s performances include opening for Canadian singer Jann Arden and Cirque Du Soleil. She had the honour of singing at the Order Of Ontario Awards and regularly sings at the Air Canada Centre for the Toronto Raptors NBA basketball team. Most recently Angelica received a Best Pop Artist nomination at the 2007 Ontario Independent Music Awards.

While Beautiful Feeling captures a wide range of skills, sentiments and styles, each track is threaded to another by the constant of Angelica Di Castro’s captivating voice and unmistakable spirit.
