More love n pain than your current relationship ...

Angelina Rozhdestvina, or simply ANGELINA is a singer - pianist born in Moscow, Russia, raised in London is a result of a cultural melting pot in love with Soul Music.

Having posted a few songs on her MySpace profile, Angelina gained a growing fan base and made heads turn in the music industry, interesting manager Askia Fountain, A&R for Compound Ent. based in Atlanta, US, management behind grammy award winning singer/songwriter Ne Yo.

Angelina's MySpace reality video blogs tell a more detailed journey of her sudden trip to Atlanta, a city which made many talents from TLC to Pink, inspiring her to work with a mixture of Atlanta's best from Chuck Harmony (Mary J. Blige, Celine Dion), Jason Rome (Patti LaBelle, Jagged Edge) and Heavyweights (Ne Yo).

Performing at the infamous Sugarhill and doing own piano accompanied set at this years' R&B Live at Luckies' headlined by pop star Mario gave Angelina a taste of what's to come and begin work on her debut album.

Born in Moscow, Russia to a father violinist and a pianist mother, she grew up listening to a mix of traditional russian gypsy folk, classical, soul and jazz. The family migrated to London, with Angelina aged 10, to escape the Soviet Union's collapse and the country's economical instability.

Despite the language barrier, Angelina began performing with her sister around London winning competitions, eventually forming a girl trio with their best friend. Together, the girls have been able to impress the likes of Tito Jackson (Jackson 5) and Jazzie B (Soul II Soul). The group drifted apart once reaching their late teens putting Angelina on the map as a solo artist.

Being a strong songwriter, Angelina's talents have turned into producing her own EP 'What Happened', gaining a strong following via her live bands' shows and underground exposure. METRO newspaper have also got on the hype and chose her song 'Down' as their favourite.

Now working on material for her forthcoming album, Angelina's music is a cocktail of her emotional struggle capturing awareness of her roots and her love of Soul Music inspired by likes of Donny Hathaway and Millie Jackson with more love and pain than your current relationship ...
