Bio

Angel Redemption is a band out of Moreno Valley, CA. They are part Iron Maiden cover band/part metal band. Their origin is as follows:

During the majority of 2010, drummer Manuel Sandoval and his brother Francisco Sandoval were part of a larger ensemble. It was when asking Adolfo Arreola to test vocals for a recording that he was recruited to join. After a performance in late August, Manuel, Francisco, and Adolfo split from the larger group; who went on to form The Shanties. The trio asked Javier Barrientos to join as bassist... He agreed. In need of a second guitarist, Derrell Lee was recommended by Adolfo’s younger brother; after quickly adapting to the band’s style, he was recruited.

When it came to naming the band, Adolfo wasted no time. "Many different ideas came to mind, but nothing really stuck except 'Burning Espada'. It was different. Unique-sounding. We liked it for a while" says Adolfo. But after this while, the band decided to go for a name change. "The concept of fallen angels was one that really captivated me for a while, it still does actually. That fascination indirectly led me to this name. The one question that everyone brought up when I presented the name was, 'Why would an Angel need redemption?' So I played with that. Maybe the angel rebelled and was cast out. Or maybe this Angel wanted to feel what it would be like to just be human, and by doing so they violated the law of Heaven and lost their grace; and as they reach the end of life, they realize they cannot return to heaven but they know they have to try and find a way."
As they work on new, original material, the band still performs covers from their biggest influence and inspiration, Iron Maiden...

Angel Redemption was formulated in May 2011

In October 2012, Bassist, Javier announced his departure from the band. The band has since been looking for a suitable replacement bass player.
