Bio
I have always been the prime singer in my family. I started out singing at church in the youth choir when I was 5 years old. From there as I became a teenager, my sister and I started a local town singing group called Undefined. It was so funny, because we were just playing around when we made up the group. We begin singing at different churches, clubs, parties, college talent shows, etc. Every where that we would sing, we always received a standing ovation. We always won between 1st and 3rd place at any talent show that we participated in. As I became an adult, our singing group decided to pursue other opportunities that didn't involve singing, but a college education. I would continue to sing in the church choir, and would occasionally sing solos as well. This year I recently auditioned for American Idol and I decided to sing "Can't Give Up Now" by Mary Mary. As everyone would probably know by now American Idol is virtually not enthusiastic about someone singing Gospel Music. I didn't make it through the audition, so I prayed and went back to the church singing the gospel. Every Sunday or through invitation I am always requested to sing. I know that God has given me the gift to sing, and that is why I utilize my roots in the gospel. My influences are God and His son, Jesus Christ, my husband and family. The singers that I listen to that also have a great influential in my life are Yolanda Adams, Mary Mary, Trinitee 5:7, Virtue, Nicole Mullen, KiKi Sheard, Kirk Franklin, Smokie Norful, Fred Hammond, Vickie Winans, Donnie McClurklin, Shekinah Glory, and the list can go on and on.
