Feeling a bit camera shy

Bio

I was born on the Gold Coast, Queensland Australia in '79, the oldest and shyest of 3 daughters. Much to my mothers suprise, there was always a performer on the inside of me screaming to get out!

At 14 I started singing BV's in youth bands and found I had a natural ear for harmonies. Growing up in church I was able to develop this ear on a weekly basis, and at some point (I don't remember when) I started penning tunes.

With no formal training I learnt by gleaning from the proffessionals around me and was often given a platform to perform my own material. Around this time I was recieving so much encouragement that I was forced at gunpoint to do something! (ok, the gunpoint thing didn't really happen)...

In 2001 I teamed up with some amazing friends and musicians and released my debut album 'Wherever You Are'. I followed this up by touring the east coast of Australia performing at gospel music festivals and the like.

Feeling that I had done everything I could in my hometown and side of Australia, I decided to pack up and move to London with the promise of the pound and further opportunities!

Since being in London my writing and performing styles have taken a slightly different edge, which I attribute to the confidence that one gains when travelling! I teamed up with fellow Aussie, Steve Kopandy, and we performed at various venues and open mic nights around London, as an acoustic duo to appreciative audiences!...Sadly he just left me for the sunny shores of NSW Australia...So we shant be performing together for a little while...unless I can arrange a satellite link or something....??

The short term goal for Angie is to secure a publishing deal and land a song in a feature film soundtrack...then live happily ever after while the record companies of the world fall over themselves trying to make me happy...or something like that!....Hey! What's life without a dream!?!?!
