Bio

A self-described free spirit and mad scientist, Angie Mattson began writing songs while living on a small sailboat in the Caribbean. Mattson has also lived in Michigan, North Carolina, Japan, Florida, Maryland and her current base of downtown Los Angeles, where she jumps trains and dodges wild dogs. A self-taught guitar and piano player, she recently signed with prominent artist manager Michael Hausman (Aimee Mann, Suzanne Vega) and completed her first full-length record with producer Nathan Larson (The Cardigans, Shutter to Think, The Ark), a well-written and beautifully executed collection of chilling and mysterious songs. With a voice that is at once hauntingly beautiful, genuine, soulful and endearing, Mattson was hailed as “one of the best new artists this year” by Live365 Radio.
