Animal Crackas

The Animal Crackas are a hip-hop group consisting of two brothers (Robin Hood Robbin Rich, Sour Dzo) born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. The two grew up in the 80's and 90's experiencing and living the hip-hop culture (break-dancing, graffiti, mc'ing) and realized early-on how it was becoming an integral part of their lives. In 1997, they started recording albums in a local studio. 13 years, countless shows and 25 albums later the Animal Crackas are still kicking ass.
When listening to the Animal Crackas you'll hear the influence of a variety of genres (rap, rock, classical, blues, jazz, r&b, disco, reggae, and trip-hop) and through their lyrics and melodic beats you will view the world through their eyes. Their live show provides an electrifying performance and unforgettable experience that reflects their personal lives and the struggles of trying to make it as independent artists.
The Animal Crackas not only make music to be heard, but to be felt. They make a conscious effort to have the audience connect to the same emotions and feelings that sparked their own creative process. Lyrics ranging from relationship problems to drug-abuse to common social issues are intended to draw the audience near. At the same time, the two mc's display an originality and creativity that separates them from others in the genre.
