Bio

At the age of 23 the artist known to the world as "Anime" finds himself in a position he once could have only dreamed to be in. Having recently released his debut single "Can't Ignore It" (featuring Lyricist Lounge veterans Punchline and Wordsworth) he finds himself among underground hiphop's list of premier up and comers. The single which was released digitally through Q Burn Media has received airplay worldwide through college and other independant media outlets, creating a buzz
among industry insiders.

This is a long way to come for the kid who fell in love with the hiphop culture during it's golden age in the early to mid 1990's. Finding himself inspired by pioneering artists like Run DMC, Too Short, Big Daddy Kane, and Masta Ace. Then later by artists like Kurupt, Nas, Big L, and Jay Z. So it was a natural progression for the young man who
was always a writer when he began expressing himself with his own rhymes when he was in the 8th grade.

The underground hiphop explosion of the late 1990's brought new influences and opportunity. The crude tapes he had been experimenting
with gave way to cleaner digital recordings made possible by new inexpensive computer technology. Emerging artists like Company Flow, and Eminem made a future in the art he loved seem more realistic. However, it wasn't until the age of 17 that he shared any of this material with anyone else.

He began building a name among locals, and slowly became a fixture in his regional hiphop scene. Eventually, he would decide that college
wasn't where his future was headed and dropped out to persue his music aspirations full time.

That risky move has paid off so far with him performing in every state in New England as well as New York. Sharing stages with underground stars such as Zion I, One Be Lo, and Mr. Len of Company Flow, as well as up and comer's like Bullymouth and Raks One. He has also done work with underground super producers like Kno
(CunninLynguists, Qn5) , Mondee (Inspekta Deck, Raekwon, The Leak Bros., Slow Suicide Stimulus, Y@k Ballz) , and Muneshine (Supastition, Louis Logic, Lightheaded, Phocus).

The future looks bright for this hungry young artist as he is poised to release a new single in late 2006, followed by much more touring and music in 2007. The rest of the world is about to find out what a select few already know - Anime is a name to remember.
