Aniqa Dear is an art-pop project formed by singer/songwriter Aniqa Qadir and writer/producer James Atin-Godden in 2016. Joined by Kieran Maraj and Grant Scott, they craft unique textures, catchy melodies, and curvy, jagged rhythms. They blend atmospheric rhythmic electronic sounds with worldly, old-school songwriting. Their debut EP 'Neither Here Nor There' garnered high praise and critical acclaim. They are a fresh new project, and are currently moving audiences in Toronto and the surrounding countryside with their unique sound and high energy performance. They are also currently working on new recordings. They’re influenced in their writing by artists like St Vincent, Tuneyards, Joanna Newsom, and Radiohead.
