Anisa's music sounds like a love poem set to music--comparisons to Jill Scott and Anita Baker and even Erykah Badu are many. Raised in Jamaica, Queens amongst Hip-Hop luminaries Run-DMC, LL Cool J and Tribe Called Quest--you will usually hear a strong element of scratching, beatboxing and rhyming thematically.
