Aniston - Between You and Me EP - 5 stars (out of 5)
"Frontman Brett Howell's vocals clearly show his conviction in this project, are both engaging and endearing, and will likely draw comparisons to JT Woodruff of Hawthorne Heights." - Kate Harding

Bio

Modern day rock with killer pop sensibility. That’s what you get when you listen to Sanford, North Carolina’s Aniston.

After playing in countless self-described “crappy bands” all through high school in Clarksville, TN Brett Howell (vocals), Blake Howell (drums), Bryon Broaddus (guitar), Cody Parrish (bass/vocals), and Dusty Mahan (guitar) have managed to come together to form something that is taking the Fayetteville area by storm and building a burgeoning fan base that can’t stop spinning their radio-ready debut EP, Between You and Me, which has been getting local praise.

“The truth is that there are bands getting ready to break it big right under our noses, and it’s time you check them out. Aniston is one of the very good things coming out of Sanford right now, with sincere lyrics and quality musicianship, and you want to get on the bandwagon now so you can say you were there at the start…While all five songs are great, I can’t stop listening to “Your Secret’s Safe With Me” which will take radio by storm if DJ’s know anything about great music.” – Kate Harding, Up and Coming Magazine

Recorded in Atlanta with Matt Malpass (Ying Yang Twins, Rookie of the Year), Between You and Me is filled with the kind of songs that keep kids jumping and singing along and coming back for one live show after another. Tracks like “I’ll Jump if You Jump” are filled with catchy beats, driving bass lines, and some serious guitar riffs played by 19 year old Mahan (aka Shredder).

A very close knit group of childhood friends, Aniston spends a great deal of their time building relationships with fans in the area, starting what has the potential to be a grassroots phenomenon. By the time the band’s CD release party rolled around, the entire crowd already knew all the words to each and every song. With upcoming tour dates in and around North Carolina, kids will not be disappointed when Aniston takes the stage again. Their live show is pure power with Howell an engaging frontman who manages to be both brash and charming all at once. No doubt about it, Aniston lives and breaths rock and roll.
