Anja Bjdstrup is an upcoming singer and songwriter from Denmark, who has been playing around Copenhagen during 2012, accompanied only by her own bass or guitar playing. From 2013 she has been accompanied by Simon Rabenhj (guitar) and Jimmy Weston (drums) who adds beatiful harmonies and a nice groove to the songs.
The lyrics are in danish and are sung with an honesty and sensitivity that always captures the audience. The sound of Anjas voice is often described as being her own, but inspirations such as PJ Harvey, Bjrk and Elena Tonra (Daughter) might be heard in her style and frases.
In the fall of 2013 Anja and her band will record their first album, but already now you can listen to the first single Uden Ord on Spotify.
