Bio

I was born and raised in the Los Angeles area, daughter of a musician/pastor and a teacher. Needless to say I was surrounded by music and love my entire life. At the age of ten my daddy became the pastor of a small church in Inglewood. And when I say small, I mean small. Me, my mom and my sister were the entire alto section. But it must have been in the plan, because it was then I began to sharpen my ear for harmonies, and to grow musically. I can remember nights in my room in the dark harmonizing to my favorite singers riffs and runs. And in my room I also began to write. Poetry, songs, raps and whatever else I was feeling at the time. Eventually I realized that it was singing and writing that gave me joy, and thats when I knew I had to sing!
My influences range from BeBe &CeCe Winans to Chicago to my grandma and her sisters who used to break out in 3 part harmony at every family function. Though I was mostly influenced by soul, I came to love classical music and classic rock as well. Anything where the harmonies dance with eachother like lovers.
I am a visual person, so when I write I like to paint a picture with my words. I want my songs to play like movies in the listener's mind. I want them to feel like they are inside the song. I want them to relive an experience everytime one of my songs play.
What's my style? R&B-ish, with plenty of gospel influences, and a little rock and pop from the early 80's. Sound? Smooth, soothing and soulful. My music is a reflection of my life and experiences.
