Feel Better

Feel Better – Anna Paddock

Verse 1
Is that whiskey again you pretty thing?
Are you standing on one foot, shaky but balancing?
Can you write me a letter? I’ll read it out oud
We’ll both feel better…

Are you driving again, away in your truck?
Don’t know which way to go, every
What can you think now? Pour me a drink,
Whiskey it is…

Chorus
Back away a little, she’s standing right there, you don’t have to yell.
Just calm down a little, you’re taking her air, and you don’t have to swear.

Verse 2
Stay in bed today, you little thing.
I know you’re not sick, but you’re worse off than they might think
You need to stay warm after a night of
being so torn…

Close your eyes awhile, you dreamy thing
Then paint all you see though you don’t like what’s happening
When your world comes apart, I know that your art
Still lights up the dark

Chorus (2X)
Back away a little, she’s standing right there, you don’t have to yell
Just calm down a little, you’re taking her air, and you don’t have to swear

(Verse 1 reprise)
Is that whiskey again you pretty thing?
Are you standing on one foot shaky but balancing
Could you write me a letter, I’ll read it out loud
We’ll both feel better, we’ll both feel better,
We’ll both feel…
Feel Better

Addicted

ADDICTED - Anna Paddock

Verse1
She can't seem to stop loving him,
But he can't seem to quit.
She always finds a way to give him one more opportunity,
And he always takes it.

She never leaves, all the memories block her way
And she believes that something still can change, but…

Chorus
He goes through the motions, he's addicted
and doesn't even know what He's doing anymore.
And she goes through the whole thing with him
Should she leave him, or stay?

Verse 2
She won't last much longer
He assures her “it’s over”.
She's heard it all before, but still she is persuaded by the hope
that his words offer, but …

Chorus
He goes through the motions, he's addicted,
and doesn't even know what he's doing anymore.
And she goes through the whole thing with him
Should she leave him or stay?
Should she leave him or stay?
Should she leave him or believe him when he says:

Bridge
“I'll make it right this time, you know I love you.
I just got caught in another lie.”
That's what you said last time, how can I trust you?
Don't you know it kills me every night…

Chorus
You go through the motions, you're addicted
and don't even know what you're doing anymore.
And I go through the whole thing with you
Should I leave you or stay?
Should I leave you or stay?
