Anna

Anna is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter whose musical style draws from her passion for Rock and Industrial Metal, as well as her background in Jazz, creating a mix that could only be defined as "Industrial Blues".

Anna's recently completed demo, available for listening on MySpace and other selected music sites , is a first attempt at producing a radio-ready recording that features three of her best songs: "In Your Prayers," "Just a Little Perk," and "Broken Toys." The tracks are already drawing attention from listeners, music industry pros, and media, and have been described as "unusually honest, beautiful music with an edge."

This description fits the bill, not just for Anna’s music, but also for her life. Driven by her experience of childhood immigration to a war-stricken country and the life she lived there—a life of isolation, rebellion, and rootlessness—Annabelle began writing songs at an early age as an outlet for her intense emotions and beliefs. She performed on stage for the first time at the age of four, was accepted to a prominent school of performing arts at the age of 12, began performing in Europe—including a memorable performance at UN Headquarters in Strasbourg, France—in 2001, and was awarded an eight thousand dollars scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music. Up until now, however, she had never recorded any of her songs.

In 2006, a twist of fate brought Anna to the USA, where she moved to Massachusetts and immediately began to record this, her first demo. She relates to it as her business card: not intended for sale, but to introduce people to her music in the hope that this will create opportunities to work with other artists and lead to the creation of a full length, radio-ready record for regional and national audiences.
