I discovered Anna Vandas several months ago and since that time I've listened to 'A Calm', 'Near Sleep', and 'Empty Highway' on repeat hundreds of times. The lyrics are beautiful and thoughtful, the music is gentle, Anna's voice is calming, & there's a relaxed, peaceful feeling to each track. - Mamma Jo
I am pretty picky when it comes to music, so I say honestly, after the countless days and times she's been pumped out of speakers into my ears, I simply cannot get sick of her. An incredibly warm, rich, discontent spirit rising out of pure musical bliss. Really, all I can say is wow. - him99
All I can say about Anna is "amazing." This is an album you can play on a cloudy day to bring out the sun, or put on during your hectic workday to relax and enjoy the beauty of life. Which is really what this is all about... taking the time to appreciate the glory and wonder of this gift of life. From the upbeat pop gem of "What Is" to the blissfully sublime "You're Here", the album simultaneously grounds you and lifts you up with each listen. It's a quality uniquely Anna. - Michael Navarro

Bio
With her supersmooth vocals and sweet acoustic guitar, Anna Vandas' hopeful songs enhance and bring peace to life. Following a demo project funded by FACTOR, Anna released her debut album "All I thoughts I Knew", released in 2005. It's an introspective look into life, nature, and relationships. Anna is relatively fresh on the music scene, but has been writing songs on her guitar since she was 14. She now lives with her husband in an arts community in Fort Langley, BC, pursuing her dreams of music, landscape painting, and taking a full-time dance program at Dance Barn Studios. She has plans to embark on her next recording in 2009/2010 an album full of storytelling, scenery, and confessions. A compilation of music she's written over the past year, the album will include several true-life stories from her own family history through World War II.
