Much is said about artists that are fabricated" in studios in order to meet the demands of what the public wants, however, we hear very little about true artists who are determined, talented and driven by the natural passion for music that flows in their veins and those whose reason for being is music. This is Anna Velasco.
Singer, songwriter and co-producer, this multi-talented performer has managed to create dynamic and original songs, breaking the monotony with a perfect combination of a variety of musical genres including: Hip hop, Funk, and Gospel while maintaining her native Latin sound everything is perfectly blended to form one musical style
R&B.
At the very tender age of 12 Anna knew music would be her life and as such, she began to write the lyrics to her music. Stepping away from the music world but without losing it from sight, Anna quenched her creative thirst through acting and theater.
This served to reaffirm her passion for music. She sang jingles for both radio and television commercials for some time and this allowed her to become a more complete artist.
Renown music magazine Trapos Sucios has offered an exclusive of one of Annas songs titled Fuiste tú as proof to their readers that there is imminent success ahead for this artist.
El Diablo Music has created the first Spanish R&B compilation and features artists such as: Tony Santos, Flavio Rodriguez and Anna Velasco featuring her breakthrough song Quedate RMX
Anna recently collaborated on the latest release by artist Full Nelson in which she wrote and performed the song titled. "La Solucion" She has also collaborated on the latest work by Santaflow (Universal with the song titled "Elixir".
At this time, Anna is preparing for the release of her album "PROTEGIDA" featuring her first single "Eres mi Luz" a sweet and catchy ballad that will be played on the most important radio stations throughout Spain by September of 2008. This album features collaborations with well known and respected artists such as Hurricane G (New York), Mr.Navaja (Puerto Rico) and also John de John (Spain).
Her most recent accomplishment was to collaborate on a duet with famous Mexican singer Jorge Muniz on his recently released album "Serenata".
