Anne's Jerusalem EP leads a dark and dirty dance oozing with gothic sexuality. Combining vibing, moody synths with thumping electronic back beats, the EP marks a change in form as frontman David Lindell continues Anne as a solo endeavor. His vocals dip and tease between lusty, bellowing baritone and a playful falsetto. Maintaining a post-punk rhythmic tendencies and stepping out of the reverbed cloudiness of previous work, Lindell emerges with a collection of songs that carry a raw, grinding primal urgency.
The Portland-based project have thus far released a slew of mixtapes and singles, most notably 2012's split 2x7" with Whirr and the EP 'Power Exchange' (both released on Run For Cover Records) and 2009's collection LP 'Dream Punx' (A389 Recordings).
