Anne has always loved music. She started singing in choir at age five. A few years later, she began piano lessons and started her musical journey with her excellent teacher. Later, she joined the school band, her favorite hour of each day, and then finally for high school graduation, got a guitar. For years, she wasn't really interested in learning and then under the tutelage of her big brother, began to learn the basics.
It wasn't long after learning basic finger picking, that Anne began to write songs. They've been heartfelt, intimate reflections of her personal life, since day one. She attempted the objective, distanced story telling of her songwriting idols, but fell naturally into emotional, first person expressions. She joined a band in the late 90s, in Savannah, Georgia, playing keyboards and backup vocals. It was her first experience with performing original material. Although the band was established before her arrival, they appreciated her songwriting and added it to the bill. In 1999, she moved to Los Angeles. Once there, she made a demo and played several coffeehouses, solo. It was adventurous to play in LA. She met a lot of really talented artists and received more great feedback to her work.
In 2004, Anne moved back to Savannah. Continually writing songs as she raised her, now 7 year old son, Anne started recording again in December of 2006. Full of ideas, songs started coming at lightening speed.
Currently, Anne is in the process of networking with independent filmmakers to place her songs.
