Biography

The Debut Album "Ivory"

In spring 2008 Annemarie Zimakoff released her debut album “Ivory” which led to tours in Denmark, Germany and The United States. She played at Oppenheimers Afternoon in Århus, where the renowned music journalist Ole Rosenstand from Danish music Magazine GAFFA acknowledged her concert with 4 stars.

A Critics Acclaimed Artist

“Ivory” also got a stunning reception by the critics: “She sings outstanding”, Martin Hansen from Rootszone wrote.“A powerful debut”, wrote Henrik Breum from the Bergske Blade.

Worldwide Performances

The melodies move between pop/folk and americana/country. They’reunpredictable, edgy, often melancholic and make their way into the heart along with Annemaries expressive voice. With her intense performances she has captured her audience around the world so far in Dublin, Berlin, New York, Nashville, Austin, Faroe Islands, Slovakia and of course in all corners of Denmark.

Lyrics

Turn The Page

Written By: Annemarie Zimakoff

I felt how you moved your hand
as my heart moved along
I could see your eyes went astray
you seemed to say it’s all wrong
You got to admit
I’m very close to it
It might be moments that seem to be stolen
But my kiss is for real
Turn the page
come on move your face
It doesn’t have to be so frozen
Come go along with your heart song
whatever it says it could be allright
At least don’t you wonder tonight
Even though your arms held me tight
I could feel how your mind said no
I wanted to hang on you forever
In the morning you’d just let me go
You got to admit
I’m very close to it
It might be moments that seem to be stolen
But my kiss is for real
Turn the page
come on move your face
It doesn’t have to be so frozen
Come go along with your heart song
whatever it says it could be allright
At least don’t you wonder tonight
