Blending folk and pop with punk sensibilities, Annie Nirschel is an up and coming new talent based in Brooklyn, NY. Her music takes on the theme of Annie being a complete realist. From concerts, festivals, and parades to sports bars and basements, Annie has been spreading her contagious sound nationwide.

Annie's new EP, "(It's Not) a Bad Time", produced by Wonderpark Studios in Gowanus, can be heard wherever you stream your music. Featured on the EP, is the acoustic-pop, and the title track, “Bad Time”. We can’t stop grooving to this catchy lighthearted tune on repeat. I highly recommend you do the same so you can sing along with the energetic vocals and authentic indie sound arrangements. The lyrics focus on real life, it’s relatable and completely accessible for listeners from all walks of life. "Annie Nirschel - Smoke Show [Review]"

Rating: 4 out of 5
“Bringing a big, vivid, Indie Rock singer/songwriter sound, Annie Nirschel is no ‘Smoke Show,’ because there is plenty of talent and substance in the depth of this single. Reminding me of Joan Osborne and Susan Gibson, I am eager to hear more from this emotional writer and performer.”

Bio

Union Street is the Brooklyn based punk-adjacent-indie-garage-band playing the soundtrack to your existential crisis. Since mid 2019, front woman Annie Nirschel, bassist Cara Radom, lead guitarist Nate Aspinall, pianist Russ Stone and drummer Sam Fishman have taken their convoluted and hauntingly unromantic love songs all over the area, from Rockwood Music Hall to a place without a name in Bay Ridge.

Their single, "Alejandra", will be out as soon as they can figure out what to put on the cover.
