daughter of an episcopal priest and preschool teacher who met, fell in love, and traveled by cramped tour bus in a folk band in the 1970's. raised on Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, church hymns, southern california salt air and flying kites with green grass under bare feet. plays soft songs about birds in spring and cold in winter and wanting to believe. happy songs about dying. sad songs about being in love. light-hearted songs about wives tying cheating husbands to beds. you know, the usual.
