An Introduction to Annie Williams

Bio
Missouri-born Annie Williams got her first guitar when she was nine, wandering through a flea market with her mother. It was a nasty old acoustic, but once Annie picked up a guitar she never really put it back down. With a voice like wildflower honey, Annie crafts honest, folk-infused songs that speak to the doubts and victories of everyday life.
While at college in Wyoming, Annie started writing songs, but did not seriously consider making music her career until she was offered a contract by the Nashville-based hip-hop group Grits. Now in Nashville, Annie plays and performs with Grits, Starrfadu, The Medders, Red Shepherd, and currently writes for the independent label, Revolution Art.
Her first album is soon to be released.
She currently lives, writes, and plays in Nashville with her band: guitarist Jesse Carr, dobro-man Sam Mesmer, and brothers Cheyenne and Will Medders on bass and drums, respectively.
