Bio
Anja Boer, born May 5th 1971, she was 7 years old when her parents, now with 4 children, moved to Ter Apel (Groningen). She joined the church choir and after a short period they noticed her voice and Anja became also a solo singer in the choir. When Anja became 18 years old she decided to move to the "big city". Anja met her life partner Bas 1996 and they moved in 1999 to a Dutch village where their two children Isabel (2000) and Luc (2001) were born.
In 2007 Anja and Bas married and on their wedding she sung a wonderful duet with tenor Jorge Castro. This was such a good experience for Anja that she picked up the music again in 2008.
She formed a (cover) band under her stage name Ann May and in 2009 she made a cover album.
This year Ann May released under own label her first album with 4 songs, called Emergency, also the name of the single. The videoclip can be found on YouTube, and filmed in the Netherlands. Lyrics are mostly written by herself and during the whole process of this production Ann May worked with a lot of passion and she was involved with "every note". The chemistry with her team is absolutely reflected on this album and Ann May is very proud of the fact that it is a complete Dutch production.
