THE STORY
The setting is Youngstown, Ohio -- the 9th most dangerous city in the country. The year is 2003 and the story is all too familiar. Five boys get together in a basement and decide that they want to start a band. They begin rehearsing covers by their favorite bands and influences. Surprisingly, they don't sound completely awful. In light of this, the boys begin writing their own material and playing shows wherever they could find an audience -- festivals, church basements, school talent shows... you know the drill. But as the band grew tighter, both as friends and as musicians, and continued writing and playing, a funny thing happened: people actually started showing up to their concerts. It was then that the boys realized that they might be on to something and decided to take their show on the road to nearby cities like Cleveland and Pittsburgh, playing in and usually winning any Battle of the Bands that they could find at any club that would have them. With most of the members not even old enough to drive and with shows occurring only on weekends so they could keep up with the rigors of being normal high school students, this was how ANOTHER FOUND SELF began to make their mark...

Fast forward four years. The boys are older. Most of them have cars and jobs. Some of them even smoke cigarettes. And thankfully, they've all graduated from high school. What happened in those four years can only be described as a snowball effect. Shows went from being in church basements to some of Ohio's biggest venues with the nation's biggest bands and a couple hundred people who probably only went to the band's early shows because they sat next to them in study hall turned into screaming crowds, sometimes in the thousands. Only playing on the weekends turned into three DIY tours of the Midwest and East Coast and appearences in entertainment capitals like Los Angeles and New York City. And the idea of being in a band as a career? It suddenly was looking less like a dream and more like reality.

Another Found Self believes in the music they make and that shines through in everything they do -- whether they're hitting the streets before a show to promote or playing to a mostly empty club in your town like it's an arena. They live to spread their songs to anyone who will listen and consequently, their fanbase continues to grow rapidly. Energetic, emotional, and honest -- Another Found Self's goals are simple and pure. They want you to have a good time. They want you to dance, sing along, and clap your hands. They want you to believe as much as they do. Anything that comes their way en route to those things happening (eg. fame, fortune, supermodels, etc.) is just icing on the cake.
