"Synth-based music makes a comeback"

"The opening intrumentals on the album, from the first track October, is one of the coolest introductions to a song in quite some time. That honour, in this reporters humble opinion, used to belong to The Planet Smashers Blind but has since been captured by Another Season.

Throughout the enjoyable album, Huggetts vocals have the elements of a young Elvis Costello. You can also hear the influence of The Cure, figuratively oozing out of the album." - Chris Clay, The Mississauga News

"Newcomers: Another Season"

"Another Season is an indie dance-rock task force that would conquer the world. 1967 sounds like The Doors and The Killers had a one night stand."

- Sean Fitzgerald, The UFT Medium

Bio

Toronto-based band Another Season was formed in 2004. The group was originated by song-writer/musicin Christopher Huggett who collaborated with Jerome Dorge, Braeden Miller and Brittney Townson. Another Season was born.

With the band having a wide variety of musical tastes and backgrounds, many different styles were brought to the table during the early stages of song-writing. With some of their major influences being New Order, Depeche Mode and The Cure, Another Season has polished a raw, synth and guitar-driven sound complemented by the solid, sassy vocals by Huggett that have become their trademark.

The band has definitely consolidated a fan base, playing regional venues for nearly two years and in late 2005 Another Season finally got to lay their best tracks down with engineer Alex Mycan to create their first record, These Streets.

The album was released on June 13th of 2006 and is available at popular record stores such as Rotate This, CD Plus, Soundscapes and Sonic Boom.

These Streets truly showcases the solid musicianship and song-writing skills of the band. They've received recognition and praise throughout the region and established air time on Edge 102.1 FM, which is one of the most powerful and influential new rock radio stations in the world. Edge 102.1 FM also invited Another Season to play the infamous Steam Whistle Indie Club on June 3rd of 2006 where they were showcased as an up and coming band, playing live in the Edge studio.

They are in the process of picking their first single, making a music video and have aspirations of being signed to a label; this is only the start for the group. Currently, Another Season is keeping busy playing shows, and is in the midst of arranging an upcoming North American tour.

Though the band have a strong passion for writing and performing great new-wave inspired music, as a group they are all extremely versatile and are constantly drawing influences from all decades and genres while creating their music. Keep your ears to the pavement, Another Season is a band that is definitely going places.
