I keep returning to this tune and like it more with each listen. It's cleverly constructed with a surprising amount of warmth for what could be termed a post-rock sound.

It’s not often you get two of the most vibrant instrumental acts in the country on the same bill. ANTELOPE provided the perfect complement to SLEEPMAKESWAVES; the Perth quintet explore the same musical aesthetic as the evening’s headliners, but their approach differs in ways subtle yet enormous. Whereas sleepmakeswaves concern themselves with extremes, bombast and limitless energy, Antelope prefer to craft aural landscapes with the subtle textures they conjure. With the aid of dual percussionists they have one of the tightest rhythm sections in this city. Over the course of 30 minutes the quintet crafted what felt like the soundtrack to an unwritten tragedy, complete with dramatic tension, polarising juxtaposition and inexplicable subtlety. – Mathew Tomich, SpaceShipNews. The fantastic thing about instrumental shows is that what the bands lack in lyrical content, they make up for with their explosive physical energy, and anyone with at least half a brain knew that Tangled Thoughts of Leaving’s EP launch would certainly be the best place to get their fix this weekend. Perth’s very own five-piece Antelope proved this fact straight from the offset, blasting the modest crowd with a wall of sound in what was a furious opener. The drumming performances were a sight to behold, the sticks a blur and looking ready to snap at any moment, while the guitarists’ clear, driving riffs opened a world of imagery for the audience’s collective mind to explore. - The Music

Bio
Antelope take the usual post-rock sound and sharpen it to a keen edge, delivering an onslaught of heavy riffage coupled with soaring melody.
As well as gigging with some of the top local bands around at the moment (Wolves At The Door, The Flower Drums, Runner) they've been on the list supporting national and international bands including sleepmakeswaves and A Place To Bury Strangers. They've been gradually working new songs over the last year or so, with the launch of Perennial being the first taste a few months back.
