Chorus 1
(JFK) Let the word go forth, that the torch has been passed,
to a new generatin of Americans, to a new generation of Americans. (repeat)
(Anthony Laurence) Let's begin, Let's begin... Let us Begin!

Verse 1
Let's begin;

1 Can you feel the excitement? All around, it surrounds,

2 inescapably, faithfully, we all gather around,

3 to witness the passage of time before our very eyes.

4 We've finally arrived. Let's go.

2

1 Well here comes the new guard,

2 and from this point on I'll be your vanguard.

3 As our generation comes of age,

4 it's feeling, more and more like the dream everyday.

3

1 I get Goosebumps when I hear Jack's voice play

2 saying I'll be the President too one day.

3 For all greatness resides in foresight,

4 even though we really can't see beyond our headlights.

4

1 But will has a way, and if you navigate

2 with that will in mind, it'll manifest over time.

3 So, here we are, the will of the past,

4 the question for the future, the answer at last.

5

1 Its been a long while since that torch was past,

2 but now I got it, firmly in my grasp.

3 And it calls for celebration,

4 the coronation of the Y generation. Go.

Chorus 2
(JFK) Let the word go forth, that the torch has been passed,
to a new generatin of Americans, to a new generation of Americans. (repeat)
(Anthony Laurence) Let's begin, Let's begin. Let us begin!

Verse 2

1 The time has finally come, the one we've all been waiting for.

2 There's more excitement now than there's been ever before.

3 And we're standing at the door, unsure if we can open it,

4 and if we can are we suppose to go through it?

2

1 The electric in the air, just might be enough to get you to care,

2 to get you to share what you've prepared,

3 if you're not still too scared to

4 push through the fear that's snagged you. I dare you to

3

1 stop waiting… start making…

2 that life you've been claiming to be chasing.

3 Though you know you really haven't worked enough,

4 and not because it's too tough, but because fear is enough

4

1 to clog anything up, then you get stuck inside yourself,

2 beside yourself, and start blaming everything else.

3 And you're once wrapped, in that, heavy negativity,

4 that's the first sign you lost sight of your dreams.

5

1 But I'm here to awaken, stir up the inspiration,

2 cultivating the expression of our generation collectively.

3 We are not "Generation Me,"

4 we are not just living life selfishly.

6

1 We just haven't been controlling our image thus far,

2 so people get to claim they know what we are.

3 But now it's our time take control of what's ours,

4 write our own definition, we know who we are.

7

1 Poets write rhymes, leaders change lives

2 and risk their lives to speak their people's minds,

3 look into my heart and that's what you'll find,

4 I'll put it all on the line for the love of our time. Go.

Bridge (John F Kennedy, excerpts from the 1961 Inaugural Address)

1 I do not believe,

2 that any of us,

3 would exchange places with any other people,

4 or any other generation.

2

1 The energy, the faith, the devotion,

2 which we bring to this endeavor,

3 will light our country and all who serve it,

4 and the glow from that fire, can truly light the world.

Chorus 3
(JFK) Let the word go forth, that the torch has been passed,
to a new generatin of Americans, to a new generation of Americans. (repeat)
(Anthony Laurence) Let's begin, Let's begin. Let us begin!
