Bio

To openly say that you want to be as big as Michael Jackson is a statement that you'd better be ready to show and prove. Somehow critics don't think this feature will be to hard for Chicago's R&B sensation Anthony M.
As A child Anthony had aspirations of becoming a entertainer in the music industry. Growing up with musical influences like Prince and Michael Jackson, he gained a strong liking for R&B, Hip-Hop, and Pop music by mimicking their movements, style and vocal technique. Michael Jackson is the one who really influenced him into doing what he does today.

As he grew older his liking for R&B and Hip-Hop music grew stronger, giving him a deeper inspiration to produce, sing, choreograph and write his own music. Anthony also fell in love with Chicago's rappers known as Twista and Shawnna from DTP. Listening to their unique style of rapping gave him the feel to rap also.

Getting a break in the music industry was put to a stand still when Anthony signed on with McBlaine Industry's to work on his modeling, acting, and dancing carrer. Having lots of success getting jobs for lots of big names such as Sears, Quaker Oats, Mcdonalds, Kellogs and more.

Anthony was later introduced to a new style of music which is known as Tejano Music. He began singing in the Spanish Language and falling in love with Tejano sensation, Selena. Listening and mimicking her style of her singing.

By admiring all these different artists his determination and motivation to make it in the music business became prevalent. It gave him the mind setting that he could accomplish anything and no dream was to big to achieve.

In the spring of 2007, Benjamin “Funkman” Osafo, founder and CEO of Unitty Entertainment, was introduced to an unknown artist by the name of Anthony Matthews Junior. With 25 years in the business designing and developing artists, it didn’t take long for Funkman to recognize that there was something exceptional about this 18 year old from Bellwood, Illinois. Not only was he a gifted singer and dancer, he also displayed a humility, passion and dedication to his craft rarely seen in somebody so young. Sensing that Anthony had the drive and talent needed to make it to the top, Funkman immediately took Anthony under his wings. A partnership in the spirit of Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones had just been born in the heart of Chicago.

As a child, Anthony found inspiration and happiness in two things: music and dance. Artists such as Selena and Michael Jackson with their passion, energy and transcendent messages, influenced Anthony heavily and set the groundwork for the type of artist he was to become. With this vision in mind, Anthony and Funkman entrenched themselves in the studio from 2007-2008, working night and day to create a new Chicago sound that embraced Hip Hop, R&B, and Pop styles but was also infused with Latin and African rhythms. With Anthony’s sound developed, in the summer of 2008, Unitty Entertainment partnered with HollowWear Creations to focus on the branding of the artist Anthony. At this time, Anthony became Anthony M. and he was heavily coached to become the sophisticated and polished performer that we see today.

Anthony M. is a seasoned entertainer who has performed in multiple radio and television shows, commercials and live concerts. It only takes a few minutes of watching him perform to realize that entertaining his fans is his number one priority. His love and passion for music, dance, and his fans is truly inspirational. The sound of Anthony M. is real music, criss-crossed with rhythms that explode with happiness. 2009 is the year of Anthony M., the Prince of Chicago, and the future of Hip Hop, R&B and Pop.
