Anthony Pacheco

 Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA

A style of music that cant be explained, only experienced. Some would say it's 'a classic rock' n roll style with plenty of blues, a hint of raggae and a splash of latin jazz..' I call it 'My Music.'

Anthony Pacheco first discovered his passion for music at a very young age. When he was in fourth grade, his father took him to see his older cousin play football. He memorized the melody of the high school fight song and played it on his amateur keyboard at home. His parents realized his musical talents and abilities and bought him a more complex keyboard so he can further pursue his passions. When he was in 6th grade he began playing tuba and bass guitar in the school band. Music would take him from music competitions in San Antonio, Texas and Denver, Colorado to marching in the New Year’s Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, California with his high school marching band. He began playing bass guitar in bands as a sophomore in high school and his junior year he clicked with a group named ‘Cica’ (see-kuh). Cica became a small town hit for the youth culture and local music community, always packing out bars and clubs before they were even legally old enough to enter a bar. Cica agreed they could expand their fan base if they moved to a bigger city. So in the course of a year, each original member would eventually make their way to Albuquerque, New Mexico. After a year in Albuquerque, in their journey to grow as musicians and discover their own sound, Cica merged with a local artist to become ‘Rosenhymn.’ Anthony, who was on the bass guitar and keyboards for Rosenhymn, began to realize how their sound was rapidly becoming widely recognized among local artists and the music community. Among the many accomplishments of the group include recording and distributing a full length album, playing in Las Vegas, Nevada, and earning the respect of the art community in Albuquerque. The group went their separate ways the summer of 2008. Anthony found himself returning to the town he grew up in, Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he continued to pursue his music career, but this time around as a solo artist where he also began a few musical projects. He currently plays out of Las Cruces and his shows are considered by many as a ‘theatrical experience.’ Anthony describes himself as ‘easily inspired’ and his influences range from The Mars Volta to Pink Martini, from Danny Elfman to Tim Reynolds. His unique sound and zealous performance combine to create a style of musical art that cannot be explained, only experienced.

5 (a killer in the heights)

Written By: Anthony Pacheco

Mr. Hyde the killer was a real dark, broken little soul. He wanted help from his friends but they gave his cry for help no chance. So John Hyde decided to take matters upon himself to unveil the devils under the skin. And he woke the next morning smoked a cigarette under the sun, finished his coffee then strapped on his boots then jumped on his bike. For kicks he brought his gun. Mr. Hyde the killer drove up the road about a mile or so to the motorcycle store where he caused a scene.

Mr. John Hyde the killer took two boys lives. (the killer) Johnny goes home, closes his eyes.

Mr. Hyde the killer his demons still at unrest, he surely wasn't done haunting Albuquerque he grabbed his guns and demons again cos he's already sold his soul to the devil. He figures he might as well. Took another life, one for the road. Mr. Hyde we'll see you in hell.

Mr. John Hyde the killer took another man's life. (the killer) Johnny goes home, Johnny lays down, closes his eyes.

Sheriffs drove into his driveway looking to arrest Mr. John Hyde but he's still got his demons. No and he wont surrender, he loaded his gun up one last time. He had the balls to pull the trigger twice on two sheriffs. He took their lives.

Mr. John Hyde the killer took him one day to take five lives. (the killer) Johnny goes home, Johnny lays down, closes his eyes.

My baby girl left me, she left me stone cold and all alone. My baby girl teased me then she ripped my heart open. Medusa found me blind, Medusa left me blue. She's a cold hearted mama.

My baby girl left me, she snuck out and covered up all her tracks. Baby girl wants me now but I will never need her back. Cupid found me blind and cupid left me blue. She's a cold hearted mama.

She's a cold hearted mama when she don't get what she wants. She's a cold hearted mama, she don't know what she wants. Medusa found me blind, Medusa left me blue. She's a cold hearted mama.

You really had me going babe. You had me twistin and a shakin for you. You know you really had me goin babe. Found me blind and left me blue.

The Run Around

Written By: Anthony Pacheco

She fix her hair, she walks on heels.
Her hips sway back and forth, her lips red.
Her eyes angelic, devilish.
She predator and she prey. (you runaround me)

You know what you want. You know what you got.
You know me all too well. I know you all so well, so dont give your runaround. I don't want your runaround today. Don't give your runaround.

She tramples hearts with her heels.
Her hips sway back and forth for the men.
Her touch angelic, devilish.
She comes and then she runs away.
She tempts you with her sweetest fruits.
Her lips fill the airs with promises.
Intentions angelic, devilish.
She predator and she prey. (you runaround me)

So don't give your runaround. I don't want your runaround today. I don't need your runaround.

I don't want, I don't need, don't have no time for your bullsh!t. Get real and don't lie to me cos I'm real.
