Antioch Road Band

Lead singer/lead guitarist Jacob Jones aka "Jonesy" from Fairfield, TX, started the band in early 2008 by acquiring a few friends and practicing every now and then for fun. Soon a little fun turned into a favorite pass-time. Jonesy started writing music around August of 2007 and found the courage to start sharing his music with others. The next band member to join was none other than "Animal" Brad Miller from Katy, TX. Brad brought experience and a little flavor to the band from his prior endeavors in other bands. David Skinner, also from Fairfield, TX, joined the band in April of 2008. David is a self taught bass player and does more than his part in keeping the groove. He also plays a big part in writing. Once the three member band was complete, they were gigging here and there for tips, but noticed something was missing. Along came Mike Boyd from Huntsville, TX, a rhythm guitar player with an ear for classic country music and bluegrass. His influences complete the sound that is the Antioch Road Band.

Together, the Antioch Road Band has been perfecting a sound which incorporates Texas country, classic country, blues, and southern rock. From writing and playing their own music to covering popular Texas tunes, this band has been able to play at several different venues. However, the band has also been getting their music out at bars, fairs and festivals across the state opening for some well known acts such as Rich O'Toole, The Kyle Bennett Band, and Honeybrowne. Currently in the process of their first studio album, The Antioch Road Band is living their dream and embarking on the long journey which is the music business. The band is gaining fans with every show and lives by the motto to never, never, never quit! Keep an eye out for this rocking band in the coming months!
