Bio
The band came together in the summer of 2008. McCarty, Bartlett, and then drummer Rich McGee split off from Kansas City hardcore project, The Sixth Actual to pursue other musical interests. Teaming up with vocalist, Drew Johnson, the group took on the name Antler Salmon as a joke. After McGee departed for the Marines, drummer Zach Guthrie joined the crew. Drawing influences from old school funk, modern hardcore, classic rock riffing, reggae back-beats, and smoother alternative styles, the band has begun to make itself known on the Kansas City and Lawrence scene.
Now the Antler Salmon experiment is over and we are currently working on a new, more permanent title. :)
